In 2002, Dewey and Lynne Wilson agreed to meet with some friends who were struggling in their nearly 20-year marriage, hoping to offer some guidance. Little
did they know that this meeting would mark the beginning of a life-changing journey for both their friends and themselves. While they witnessed God restore
their friends' marriage, their own relationship was also deeply enriched in ways they never expected-all through the process of mentoring.
In the months that followed, more couples reached out to Dewey and Lynne for help. The demand grew quickly, and it became clear that God was calling Dewey to
leave his career as a luxury home builder and begin a new kind of "home-building"-one focused not on physical structures, but on strengthening marriages.
Since that pivotal moment in 2002, the Wilsons' marriage mentoring process has positively impacted the marriages and families of thousands across the U.S.
and Canada. What started as a simple mentoring approach has now grown into Strong Marriages, an organization that goes far beyond just mentoring. In recent
years, Dewey and Lynne have developed a wide array of resources and innovative processes to help couples prepare for marriage and strengthen their existing
relationships.
At the heart of everything they do is one simple but powerful goal: to glorify God by helping individuals experience His design for marriage. While this
mission may sound straightforward, the reality is that in today's culture, marriages are often under siege, and the Wilsons are committed to countering that
trend by equipping couples to build strong, lasting, Christ-centered relationships.
